Amyris Homme is an aromatic, woody, citrus scent created for Men in 2012 by Francis Kurkdjian.
Review
Like its feminine counterpart, Iris still plays a big role in this scent. A burst of Mandarin mixed with the sweetness of Tonka Bean, and some added woods and spices really mix things up to create a casually sweet masculine scent. It is suitable for any occasion and can be worn to the office or dressed up for an informal evening event. It is comparable to Xerjoff Uden Overdose. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Amyris is a Haitian tree/shrub that produces a slightly sweet, woody, fruity scent naturally. Its name comes from the Greek word(Amyrron) meaning “intensely scented”. It is used in scents both for its sweet aroma, and its similarity to Sandalwood.
Notes
The Sandalwood-like nature of the Amyris comes out in this scent. A blend of Rosemary, Saffron and Cedarwood create a subtle earthiness while Tonka Bean adds a soft sweetness. A refreshing burst of Mandarin infuses itself throughout the composition as Iris releases its slightly sharp floral essence into the Amyris Oil. What is created is the perfect blend between warmth and lightness.
Fragrance Notes: Sicilian Mandarin Oil, Moroccan Rosemary Oil, Saffron Accord, Florentine Iris Oil, Caribbean Amyris Oil, Virginian Cedarwood Oil, Tonka Bean Absolute from Brazil
