Black Caviar is an aromatic, woody, fresh spicy scent created for Men and Women in 2019 by perfumer Marco Genovese.
Review
This scent is considered an Oceanic Fougere. The saltiness of Caviar adds an opulent kick to the Fougere style, almost crossing into a realistic ocean, or beachy, scent. It is very wearable and can be dressed up or down to fit any occasion or setting. It will work well in any season and maintains a lightness, but lasts. It has been compared to Mugler Womanity and Acqua di Sale by Profumum Roma, and shares similarities with Amouroud’s Wet Stone.
Inspiration
Black Caviar is inspired by Emperor Severus and his love for extravagant parties, where it is said he would serve Caviar to his guests on Rose garlands.
Notes
A warm blend of Agarwood and Cedarwood are tempered in just the right way as the salty nuance of Caviar adds an aquatic boost to a heart of Lavender, Sage, and Rosemary. Vetiver and Oakmoss boost the aromatic qualities of this scent, while Patchouli adds warmth and depth that keeps this scent lasting.
