Santal Indien is a woody, Vanilla, Sandalwood scent created in 2021 by Christian Provenzano for his Universal Collection.
Review
This scent is like a welcoming embrace with all its soft and creamy essences. It maintains its woody essence while staying both subtle and long lasting. It can be worn all year round, and in any setting. It has been compared to L’Orchestre Parfum’s Piano Santal. Try this sample out and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Santal Indien uses Santalum Album, said to be the most prized and valuable variety of Sandalwood in India and Sri Lanka.
Notes
Sri Lankan Sandalwood is the star of the show in this scent. Saffron blends with bright Bergamot and a citrus-floral heart of Neroli and Orange Flower. In the base, a beautifully orchestrated dance ensues between Cedar, Vetiver and Amber working together to lift the Sandalwood above all else. An added blend of Vanilla, Tonka Beans and Musk add a sweet thread that helps the creamy softness of the Sandalwood last all day.
Top Notes: Saffron, Bergamot
Heart Notes: Tunisian Neroli, Moroccan Orange Flower
Base Notes: Sri Lankan Sandalwood, Virginian Cedarwood, Haitian Vetiver, Amber Crystals, Vanilla, Tonka Beans, Musks
