Discovery sets are a great way to discover fragrances without having to buy the whole bottle first.

Generally, a discovery set will come with anywhere between 4-12 samples in 2ml sizes, which are about the size of your pinkie finger. They generally come as a spray vial, and can be good for up to 25-30 sprays each.

Discovery sets typically have samples all from one fragrance house, and will usually have their top sellers, or most popular scents. This is great if you’re interested in multiple fragrances from one brand.

It gives you the chance to try a fragrance, and experiment with it for a couple of days to see if it is a scent that you want to buy a whole bottle of. 

Discovery sets can have a small variety of names, but they all mean the same thing. Discovery Sampler, Tasting Menu, Inspiration Kit, Discovery Coffret, Olfactive Set, Discovery Collection, Discovery Kit, etc.

Sometimes, discovery sets can have what are called Travel Atomizers, which are larger vials meant to take on your travels with you. These will be anywhere between 7.5ml - 10ml. These are large spray vials that can be about the size of a tube of lipstick or a little bigger. They are good for around 100-150 or so sprays per vial, and are good for either traveling with a scent you love, or having even more time with a fragrance you are considering buying. 

Discovery sets eliminate blind buy regrets. They are also a great way to get to know scents, and the different styles fragrances can have, if you’re just getting started exploring on your fragrance journey.
