Velvet Fire is an aromatic, spicy, woody scent created for Men and Women in 2015 by perfumer Guillaume Flavigny as part of the Yang Collection.

Review

This scent evokes a zesty essence with an outdoorsy vibe. Neroli brightens earthy notes of Cypress and Sage, while Tobacco and Oud notes add a woody warmth. This scent can be worn in an office setting if applied lightly, and will transition well from daytime to evening occasions. It will work well in all seasons, and will last while remaining soft on the skin. This scent has similarities to Royal Crown Tabac Royal and Creed’s Bois du Portugal.

Notes

This begins fresh and earthy. The Neroli from the heart can be felt brightening the earthy tones of Cypress, Sage, and Myrtle. Saffron and Tobacco come in at the heart of this scent, creating a soft spicy infusion. Cistus adds its smoky nuance to the base, playing beautifully with the Tobacco note, sweetened just a touch with Tonka Bean. Oud comes in at the end, helping to add depth and warmth.
