Memoir Woman is a leathery, animalic, chypre scent created for Women in 2010 by perfumers Daniel Maurel and Dorothe Piot.
Review
This scent is dark and sultry. Its spicy and smoky essence make it perfect for Fall and Winter. You can imagine yourself wearing this scent, hot cocoa in hand, running errands to get ready for Halloween. It can be worn at the office if sprayed sparingly. It has been compared to the vintage perfumes YSL Opium and Dior Poison.
Inspiration
Past and present are fragmented, creating mysterious echoes. A transcendental journey of discovery begins within the mystery of Memoir Woman.
Notes
The fresh quality of Mandarin blends with the spicy essences of Cardamom, Pink Pepper and Anise-like tone of Absinthe. A blend of Opulent White Blossoms, created using Tuberose, Ylang Ylang and Orange Blossom, blends with Rose and Jasmine that adds a subtle floral quality amongst the smoky essence of Frankincense. An earthy blend of Styrax, Oakmoss and Fenugreek entwines with the animalic tones of Leather, Leather-like Labdanum and Castoreum, and a touch of Musk. An essence of mystery and seduction takes over your senses with this dark composition.
