Fan Your Flames X is a woody, sweet, aromatic scent created for Men and Women in 2023 by perfumer Miroslav Petkov.
Review
At first sniff, the Tobacco note comes in strong, but quickly fades as the familiar essences of Rum and Coconut come into play. Lentisque and Thyme add a spicier essence to this scent, versus the original Fan Your Flames, but that subtle sweetness is still there. It feels a little smokier at times, and a little sweeter at others, making it perfect for evening and cold weather activities. It can be worn to the office, if applied lightly, and can be dressed up or down easily. It is suitable for Fall, Winter, and early Spring weather. It has been compared to some of the Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances, and has a close similarity to the original Fan Your Flames.
Inspiration
Fan Your Flames X is part of the X Collection, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of Nishane. It is designed to soften the flames of the original, with a gentle touch of tropical flavors.
Notes
Tobacco blasts its way up to the top of this scent, stealing the show for just a moment. It feels almost resinous. Soon after, Coconut and Rum come in, mellowing the slight sharpness. Lentisque, Thyme, and Carrot add a spicy quality that keeps the Tobacco going under the surface, while Tonka Bean adds a sweet quality that keeps the sweetness of the Coconut thriving above the warmth. Cedar, Oakmoss, and Patchouli add an earthy quality, helping with longevity and depth.
