Review
This scent is gentle and elegant. It starts off with a green vibe, transitioning quickly to an aldehydic, metallic, Rose with a blend of Rose, Lily of the Valley, Oakmoss, and Musk. It’s ultra-fresh with a Musky/powdery quality that feels both regal and easy to wear at the same time. It has a casual elegance that will work well from the office, to drinks with friends, to running errands, to formal occasions. Calandre was an experiment into the genre of Metallics, succeeding with a timeless Metallic Rose essence.
Notes
Bergamot and Galbanum bring a slightly green brightness to the opening of this scent. A floral heart quickly blooms with a bouquet comprised of Rose, Jasmine, Geranium, Orris Lily of the Valley, and Hyacinth, giving a gentle powdery quality,and hints of that metallic essence when mixing with the citrus opening. Sandalwood and Vetiver come in at the base, adding a hint of a woody essence, but just for a moment. Amber follows closely behind, bringing a sensual warmth while Oakmoss and Musk finish off this scent with a quiet, Musky essence.
