Jockey Club is a citrus, aromatic, Amber scent created for Men in 2017 by perfumer Pascal Guerin.
Review
This scent is refreshing, clean, and classy. Citruses mellow into gentle flowers, and slowly warms into a soft Amber nuance. It truly captures the essence of the well-to-do man who loves to play sports with friends, spend an afternoon sailing, or enjoying sunset drinks by the water. This is a scent that will easily transition from the office to happy hour drinks, and will work just as well for casual afternoons running errands or doing housework. It will remain light, but will last through your day or evening. It is said to be similar to Guerlain Heritage, and is in the same vein as scents like Parfums de Marly Percival, Sung Homme by Alfred Sung, and Lalique Les Compositions Silver. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Reimagined from the original scent released in 1840, Jockey Club quickly became popular amongst the Jockeys of various racing clubs. Over time, it became a favorite of refined gentlemen everywhere, and was said to be a favorite of John F. Kennedy. Today’s Jockey Club holds that refreshing, sophisticated essence of a bygone era.
Notes
Citrus Zest and Sparkling Bergamot keep this scent fresh throughout the composition. A subtle hint of Jasmine plays well with a soft note of Amber that slowly begins to create warmth. Ylang Ylang adds to the subtle floral nuance of this scent, while adding a sweetness with its Vanilla-like tones. Sandalwood and Musk add a creamy quality that pairs well with the Amber.
