Shazeb is an aromatic, woody, smoky scent created for Men and Women.
Review
This scent is woody and refreshing at the same time. Though there are no citrus notes, there is a brightness to it that gives a lightness to all the wood notes. Both Oud and Guaiac Wood are in this scent, which are blended with many different woods, but it never becomes too intense. Rose can be felt lingering just under the surface, and touches of Cedarwood and the Piney essence of the Gurjun Wood Oil add a crisp quality. Its lightness makes it wearable for any time, place, or occasion, which makes it easy to dress up or down. Though it might be too much for very hot weather, it is suitable for all seasons, and will last. It has been compared to Gucci Rush for Men, and has subtle similarities to Gentle Fluidity Silver from Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
Inspiration
Shazeb translates to “Decorated King”, and the scent has a clean opulence to it. The bottle makes one think of something extravagant that would sit within sight of a King.
Notes
In the beginning, you can almost smell a blend of citruses. This may come from the Gurjun Wood Oil, which can smell like Pine or Camphor, or maybe even the Cedarwood, which can have the crisp quality of fresh cut wood. Oud, Guaiac Wood, and Patchouli make up the heart of the woody essences within this scent, with Sandalwood adding its woodiness, and its natural sweetness. Musk blends well into the smoky essence that seeps out from the woody tones, and Amber adds a warmth that blends well with the subtle sweetness from the Sandalwood. Rose and Jasmine add a faint hint of a floral vibe, but work more to mellow out any sharpness.
