Review
This scent is almost immediately warm and sultry. Bergamot, Mandarin Orange and Apricot add a brightness to a blossoming floral blend of Orange Blossom, Tagetes(Marigold), Tuberose, Jasmine, Narcissus, and Geranium. Tuberose and Jasmine stand out, lasting through the warm depth of Sandalwood, Amber, Benzoin and Vanilla. There is a gentle intensity to the scent as everything opens on the skin, which gives a very gentle vintage-meets-modern vibe. As everything dries down, it all blends together seamlessly, creating a scent of quite confidence. This scent was quoted as having an "old-world glamour", and it paints a picture of a glamourous Hollywood star of the 1940's, getting all dolled up for a movie premier. She dons her fur coat and a deep red lip. Her image, and her aroma, will captivate everyone she comes into contact with. It has a mature, sophisticated, elegant, sensual, playful, essence to it. It has a style comparable to Hermes 24 Faubourg, Marilyn Miglin Pheromone, Van Cleef & Arpels First, etc.
Inspiration
Boucheron Pour Femme was inspired by the luxury jewelry, especially the rings, of the Boucheron Jewelry house. The idea was to capture the essence of the sparkle of the jewelry in a fragrance.
Notes
This scent opens with a sparkling blend of Bergamot, Mandarin Orange and Apricot atop a lush floral infusion of Tagetes(Marigold) and Orange Blossom. Resinous Galbanum deepens the essence of the scent as the floral bouquet intensifies with Tuberose, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Narcissus, Orris Root and Geranium. These flowers blossom brilliantly, mellowing as the warmth of the base sets in. Amber, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Vanilla and Tonka Bean created a very gentle, Ambery sweet warmth. Civet adds a gentle spicy depth, while a final note of Oakmoss lends a hint of earthy zestiness. The overall composition becomes a warm, seductive floral fragrance.
