Santal Complet is a sweet, Woody, Sandalwood scent created for Men and Women in 2016.
Review
This scent opens spicy and sweet with the Lemon, Coconut, and Black Pepper. After a minute, the Pepper essence begins to fade and the sweetness seems to intensify with the help of the Vanilla in the base. After things begin to mellow, the Sandalwood really begins to shine, and the heavy sweetness fades into the background, allowing the creaminess of the Sandalwood to develop. Everything remains mellow and smooth. An almost Caramel-like essence develops, maybe from the Amber, maybe the Vanilla….but it’s very subtle. It has an intimate feel to it, staying closer to the skin, almost like a skin-scent, but will last. It has a vibe similar to Santal Indien from Christian Provenzano.
Inspiration
Santal Complet is an ode to endless Summers. An ode to everything feeling like Paradise on care-free days. An ode to warm and sultry evenings after spending your days in the sunshine. It’s like warm, sun kissed skin.
Notes
This scent opens with a blend of the Black Pepper adding a spiciness to the sweetness of Lemon and Coconut. It doesn’t quite feel like a Coconut scent, just something sweet and creamy….with the distinction of the Pepper. After a few minutes, the Pepper fades, and the sweetness intensifies, possibly partially from the sweetness of the Violet, but most likely due to the Vanilla found in the base. After a while, the sweetness begins to fade into the background, allowing the Sandalwood to shine. For a while, this is just a beautiful, sweet, Sandalwood scent. As the Amber sets in, a very gentle Caramel-like essence sets in. The Musks finish off this scent, giving everything something along the lines of a step above a skin scent. It is still very much there, but sits very close to the skin.
