Secret Tryst is a warm, woody, Ambery scent created for Men and Women in 2021.
Review
This scent opens fresh and spicy. Bergamot gives the spices a nice lift, and a combination of Rose and Cedarwood brings a gentle floral woodiness, that isn’t too woody. When Cedarwood is prominent in a fragrance, it tends to have a crisp, almost clean, woodiness…..like that zest of fresh cut wood. This is what you can feel here, fresh cut wood with a sweetness to it. The Patchouli adds a nice sharpness to the dry down, and Frankincense a gentle smokiness. It’s fresh and woody and smoky and intoxicating. If you close your eyes, you can almost imagine yourself in the middle of a forest on a crisp Winter day, the aroma of fresh cut trees in the air mixing with the vibrancy of the generally coniferous quality of nature. But then….Cistus transforms. At first it adds to the woody vibes, but then releases its Ambery facets in a warm and velvety way, making the Vanilla pop a little. Everything then becomes deep and rich and warm and luxurious. This scent is almost an enigma on the skin. This is a scent that, at first, might be too much for an office or small enclosed settings, but can work if given time to dry down and develop. Its woodiness and warmth makes it a great Fall and Winter fragrance, but can work in the cool and crisp beginnings of Spring as well. It can be worn just about any time or place, and will work for most all occasions. It has great projection and longevity. This scent is similar to something along the lines of Memoir Man from Amouage and/or Amber Aquilaria from Electimuss London, but much less intense, and shares similarities to Grand Soir from Maison Francis Kurkdjian, after sitting on the skin for a while.

Notes
The spices can be felt upon first spray of this fragrance, boosted and brightened with Bergamot. Rose adds a gentle floral touch, with Cedarwood bringing a potent fresh-cut-wood essence to the mix. This is intensified with the earthy and grassy quality of the Vetiver, the gentle sharpness of the Patchouli. Cistus at first adds to the woody nuances, but then transforms, releasing its Amber facets adding a sultry warmth. Frankincense brings a hint of a smoky quality, and a touch of Vanilla at the end helps to bring an almost velvety quality.
