Review
This scent starts off spicy and bold. Incense is tempered with Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Pear and flowers, but lingers with the help of spices and Sandalwood. Eventually everything mellows and sweetens slightly, but remains opulent and rich. This scent has a presence…a certain power to it…a regal quality. The person who wears this scent captures the attention of those around them. Commands it, maybe. The scent doesn’t necessarily have a ton of intensity to it, but it remains. It is woody and spicy and captivating. There is a very subtle floral nuance that comes and goes throughout the dry down. It conjures the image of a king wrapped in furs, sitting on his throne. Its rich essence makes it perfect for the cold weather of Fall, Winter and early Spring. It can be worn in an office setting if given the time to dry down, and will work well for just about any time, place or occasion you desire to wear it, especially for formal settings. It is a scent that will last and have you feeling your best. It has a vibe like a much less sweet, more spicy version of Fragrance du Bois Cavort.
Inspiration
Pure Diamond takes inspiration from the Cullinan Diamond, discovered in 1905. Today, it is set in the Sovereign’s Sceptre with Cross, the British Royal Sceptre, symbolizing power and eternity.
Notes
Incense opens this scent with a subtly smoky and spicy pop. Bergamot, Pink Pepper and Pear add a bright sweetness that pairs well with the Rose and Hyacinth in the heart. This sweet and floral element is fleeting as the spiciness of Nutmeg and Cinnamon come into play. They keep some of the sweetness, but add to the depth of the scent. The Sandalwood essence of Sacrosantal pairs with actual Sandalwood, giving this scent a sophisticated woody start to the dry down. Grey Amber and White Musk add to the depth and longevity of the dry down, boosting the darker notes. It is an elegant, sophisticated, spicy and woody scent.
