Absolu Aventus is a fruity, fresh, Leathery scent created for Men in 2025 by perfumer Jean-Christophe Herault.
Review
Upon opening, this version of Aventus is noticeably a little darker than the others. You still get that signature Pineapple note mixed with the Citruses, but there is a richer, earthier essence with the addition of Cardamom, Vetiver and Leathery Labdanum. There is a warmth to this scent, a more seductive aspect to it. If Aventus is your go-to day time scent, then Absolu Aventus is your evening scent….the one you wear on dates or on an evening out when you want to capture the attention of someone special. It still has a lightness to it that makes it everyday wearable, but creates a vibe of attraction. Because of its more earthy qualities, it will last longer and project a little further. It does feel a little more Spring/Fall/Winter appropriate, but can definitely be worn any time of year, and for any time, place or occasion. It is comparable to the original Creed Aventus, and shares similarities with Roja Elysium Noir.
Inspiration
Absolu Aventus was created to be a more intense version of the original Aventus. It maintains the signature Pineapple and Citrus elements, but adds some darker, earthier notes that will leave a lasting impression.
Notes
This scent opens with the signature Pineapple Accord that is associated with Aventus. Bergamot remains as well, but is now paired with the additional brightness of Grapefruit and the tart element of Ginger, which adds a nice, subtle pop. Cardamom and Cinnamon create a gentle spice infusion to the heart of the scent. Patchouli remains from the original scent as well, now being coupled with the earthy, grassy essence of Vetiver and the smoky, Leathery essence of Labdanum. It feels like Aventus, but a little darker and more sultry.Â
