Raspberry Royale & French Black Pepper is a sweet, spicy, fresh scent created for Men and Women by perfumer Michel Germain for the Michel Parfum collection.
Review
This scent is fresh with depth. The Raspberry is noticeable immediately, with Black Pepper following closely behind, yet muted by the gently cream qualities of Orris and Rose. Patchouli comes in later, keeping the Pepper from fading. While the composition is light and sweet, it has body and warmth. The fruity nuance, blended with the flowers, makes this scent lean ever-so-slightly feminine, but it can be worn by anyone. It will work well any time or place, and will work for any occasion or setting. It is suitable for any season or weather, but will work best in the Spring and Summer when the weather is sunny and warm. Though it is light, it will last. It is comparable to something along the lines of Xerjoff’s La Capitale or Lalique’s Amethyst.
Inspiration
The Michel Parfum collection takes inspiration from the grandeur and nobility of the royal courts, creating scents that are elegant, sophisticated, and timeless with a touch of sensuality.
Notes:
Raspberry is front and center upon first spray. Black Pepper Oil brings the recognizable essence of itself, but it never becomes too peppery as Rose and Orris come in, tempering it with a creamy lightness. Patchouli Leaves are found in the heart of this scent, and help to keep the gentle depth lasting. Musk adds a hint of sensuality within the playfulness of this scent, and a final note of Sandalwood helps to keep things lifted throughout the drydown.
