Review
This scent is both fresh and spicy and woody at the same time. This scent opens with a blend of Pink Pepper, Bergamot and Juniper that creates a very gentle, almost sweet, Fougere-like essence. This aroma lasts, even as a spicy, smoky, woody blend of Cardamom Frankincense, Myrrh, Patchouli, and Cedarwood sets in. This is likely due to the Vanilla that is found in the base. It’s a complex blend of ingredients that seems to defy expectation. It almost has an mineral/aquatic vibe; almost a smoky bonfire-esque vibe, almost a crisp and clean woody aroma as if you’re in the middle of a Cedarwood forest on a chilly Fall afternoon. As everything begins to dry down, the smoky woody tones begin to thrive a little more. It paints a picture of Incense burning at the edge of a creek in the middle of the woods. It is unique and interesting, and unexpected. While it does have a certain kind of lightness to it, it is still something with enough intensity that you’ll want to make sure to give it some time to dry before walking into the office. Aside from that, it can be a safe wear for the office, and will work well for just about any time, place, or occasion. It has the vibe of a year round scent, but might be too much for the summertime. It has been compared to other creations by Quentin Bisch, but is most compared to Roja’s A Midsummer Dream.

Notes
Pink Pepper and Bergamot combine to create an almost sparkling brightness, that is give a subtle earthy sweetness from Juniper. A blend of Cardamom, Frankincense and Myrrh create a subtle smoky essence that never becomes too smoky or intense in any way. Patchouli and Cedarwood bring depth within the base of the scent, adding a subtle earthy woodiiness, that, again, never becomes too much. The Vanilla note at the end likely helps to keep the sweet and bright essence of the opening lasting through to the base.
