Review
This scent begins fresh and aromatic, becoming earthy and warm as it dries. It almost feels like a Fougere scent, but it’s not quite there. A blend of Clary Sage, Juniper and White Tea is brightened with Lemon and Bergamot in the opening. Amber, Woods and a Kashmir Fusion(a synthetic recreation of the warmth of Cashmere) add a warmth and depth that has just a hint of creamy sweetness. It has a kind of enveloping warmth that feels like a hug. It’s like wearing your coziest, fluffiest sweater on a chilly day. It’s rich, but not too rich. It’s warm makes it great for the Fall, Winter and early Spring months, and it will last on the skin. It is a scent that will work for just about any time, place or occasion, but leans more towards the formal/professional territory. It has a casual elegance to it, kind of feeling like a millionaire’s casual outing fragrance. A lot of people compare this to Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 ‘but with citrus’ - and it may smell like that on some people, but it’s more along the lines of Clive Christian Noble XXI Blonde Amber without the Vanilla, or maybe Parfums de Marly Kalan.
Inspiration
Town & Country was inspired by capturing the aromas of London, from the beauty of the countryside to the elegant quaint essence of the cities and towns.
Notes
This scent opens bright and fresh with a subtle earthiness. Lemon and Bergamot brighten an aromatic blend of Juniper, Clary Sage and White Tea. As this combination settles, the depth of the heart and base begin to set in. Cardamom and resinous Olibanum blend with the woody tones of Sandalwood and Cedarwood. Grey Amber adds a subtly creamy quality that pairs perfectly with the Kashmir Fusion - a synthetic ingredient created to mimic the enveloping warmth of Cashmere. Patchouli finishes this scent with continued earthiness that adds to the depth without overpowering anything or making this fragrance become a ‘Patchouli’ scent. Overall it is an aromatic, earthy and warm Ambery scent.
