Duc de Vervins is an aromatic, fresh, spicy scent created for men in 1985.
Review
This scent is fougere in style, with a much cleaner, barbershop style feel. Citrus notes at the top infuse themselves throughout all the layers of this classy scent. It is perfectly suitable for the office, as well as any casual or formal moments, and works in any season. It stays close to the skin and maintains that softness. It is comparable to Drakkar Noir from Guy Laroche.
Inspiration
Duc de Vervins is for the enigmatic man who is always on the move. He is free-spirited and adventurous, but cleans up well and is always ready to impress. He seeks only the best, not just to impress, but for his own enjoyment.
Notes
Fresh Bergamot and Lemon burst forth at the top of this composition, waking and energizing. The Fougere style comes into play in the heart with a blend of Lavender, Rosemary, Cumin, and earthy Oakmoss in the base. A touch of Nutmeg adds a hint of spice, and a bit of sweetness that lifts the citrus notes. A final note of Patchouli adds depth and a magical touch of wood that evokes a sense of adventure.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon
