L'Amour is a bright, sweet, floral created for Women in 2013 by perfumer Nathalie Lorson.
Review
This scent is bright, light, and ultra feminine. A burst of Bergamot dances atop a lush floral bouquet, brightening your mood and creating a flirty and romantic essence. It can be worn to the office, relaxing around the house, running errands, to lunch, or for a fun summer evening out with friends, or that special someone. It’s lightness makes it versatile for any, and every, occasion. It remains close to the skin, but will last the day. It will work in any season, but will thrive in the Spring and Summer. It is comparable to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
The inspiration
L’Amour takes inspiration from the glass doors commissioned by Japanese prince, Asaka Yasuhiko for his palace in the 1930’s. Today that palace has become the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum. The doors are adorned with figures of women spreading their glorious wings, and maintains the iconic designs of Rene Lalique and his never-ending ode to the beauty of women.
Notes
Flowers abound in this radiant scent. Refreshing Bergamot dances with the green floral essence of Neroli, flanked closely by the delicate essence of Rosebuds. This beginning brightens the heart of white flowers of Gardenia, Jasmine, and Tuberose to create a romantically fragrant aroma. Crisp Cedar lifts these light essences, adding a faint earthy essence and helping each note to live longer on the skin. Sultry Musk and creamy Sandalwood add depth and the perfect amount of warmth to keep this delicious scent thriving.
