Pachuli Kozha is an earthy, Patchouli, Leather fragrance created for Men and Women in 2015 by perfumer Jorge Lee.
Review
This scent is immediately intense and potent. It has that dirty, skanky, earthy vibe to it. Patchouli blends with Leather, Incense, Black Pepper, and gentle touches of Honey, Ylang Ylang, and Chamomile that break up some of the harsher edges. It is rugged and animalic and not for the faint of heart. Its potency may not work well in an office setting, but is well suited for just about any other time, place, or occasion. Its warmth will work well in the Fall, Winter, and early Spring months when the weather is colder. Its potency paired with its Extrait oil concentration gives it incredible longevity, projection, and sillage. It has been compared to Tom Ford Amber Absolute and Tiziana Terenzi Laudano Nero.
Inspiration
Pachuli Kozha….meaning Patchouli Leather, or Patchouli Skin….is a voluptuous scent that pushes the boundaries of Patchouli, unlocking an internal raw sensuality.
Notes
Armoise(Wormwood) opens this scent on an earthy note, pairing quickly with Patchouli and Black Pepper in the heart. Hyacinth and Ylang Ylang add a gentle floral thread that mellows the intensity slightly. Leather and Incense come in strong in the base, bringing a dirty, earthy quality to the composition. Chamomile is actually found in the opening of this scent, but is felt later when some of the depth has softened. A final note of Honey inserts itself into the mix, bringing a gentle sweetness that can be felt throughout the dry down.
