Santal du Pacifique Eau de Parfum is a woody, aquatic, floral scent created for Men and Women in 2016 by perfumer Mathieu Nardin.
Review
This scent is a clean, aquatic style version of Sandalwood. Resinous Gurjun Balsam and Musk thrive in this composition, creating a dryer essence. An added Cream note brings just the right amount of softness. This scent is safe for the office and can be worn in any season. It will work well for any occasion, but is best suited for casual settings. It becomes intimate and close to the skin, but will last for hours. It has subtle similarities to Le Labo’s Santal 33 and Christian Provenzano’s Santal Indien. Try this sample and let us now what you think!
Inspiration
Santal du Pacifique uses Indian Sandalwood Oil extracted from the heart of the trunk, producing a hypnotically pure essence. Sandalwood is growing increasingly rare in India, so Perris Monte Carlo is giving back by planting 50 new Sandalwood trees for every one they use, in an effort to keep this magnificent tree thriving.
Notes
Though Sandalwood is in the base here, it can be felt in all layers of this scent. Carrot comes in at the beginning, adding a soft vegetal quality before blending with a soft Cream note. Orchid and Violet sneak around and help to calm the resinous quality of Gurjun Balsam. A final note of Musk adds to the sultry essence of this scent.
Top Notes: Carrot
