Review
This scent is sweet, romantic and playful. Vanilla and Jasmine make Ylang Ylang even creamier and bountiful than it already is on its own, and a touch of Lemon in the top adds an almost dessert-like quality to the opening. It is a perfectly suitable scent for the office, but is much better suited for casual moments, or intimate occasions when you want someone to desire to be close to you. It is suitable for any season, and will last. It has been compared to Coeur d’Ylang from Comptoir Sud Pacifique.
Inspiration
Nosy Be is an island off the coast of Madagascar where most of the world’s Ylang Ylang comes from. The Ylang Ylang flower produces an intense and enveloping scent that is almost animalic, and produces a dark and sultry romantic quality. This is a scent for those who see the dream-like quality of life.
Notes
A blend of Lemon and Mint at the top become smooth and soft as they melt into a creamy blend of Ylang Ylang, Rose, and Jasmine, resulting in a dessert-like quality. Vanilla comes in at the base, adding a sweetness that boosts the Ylang Ylang higher, while a soft touch of Musk adds a sultry essence that helps with longevity.
