Review
This scent starts off sweet and spicy. If you’re familiar with Saffron in fragrances, you can smell it right away. It has a natural sweetness to it, with a little zing of spice, almost like Cinnamon. Pear opens this scent alongside the Saffron, intensifying the gentle sweetness. Cypriol adds a gentle grassy essence that pairs perfectly with the earthy depth of the Patchouli. Benzoin and Ambroxan add a subtle warmth and sweetness to the finish of the scent, and helps the subtle smoky essence to last. It remains perfectly balanced between the sweetness and spicy, earthiness. There is a comforting essence to this scent, like a warm embrace from a lover who wears a spicy scent. It feels inviting and exotic and sensual. It is soft enough to wear to the office, but it feels much better suited for times when you want to feel, and smell, sexy. It’s great for date nights, evening festivities, occasions when you want to make an impression. Even though this is a bit of a softer spicy scent, it will last on the skin and have people wanting to be closer to you. It is comparable to Fragrance du Bois’s Cavort, with a few comparing it to Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Oud Satin Mood. It is said to be the rebranded version of Ormonde Jayne’s Nawaf Zaffran. Notes
Saffron and Pear open this scent with a comforting sweet and spicy aroma. Cypriol adds a grassy essence that pairs well with the earthy tones of Patchouli. Iris adds a very subtle creamy quality to the heart of this scent, which likely helps the Ambroxan boost its sweet warmth. Resinous Benzoin adds to the slightly smoky essence of the Cypriol and keeps the spicy essence of the Saffron lasting. Sandalwood comes in at the end, adding the gentlest woody essence that feels more like it’s working to keep the smoky and earthy tones thriving. Musk finishes the scent with a wispy sensuality.
