This scent is immediately fruit and tart. The Apple Blossom, Mango and Pineapple all blend together and it feels like you can smell them all individually, but also like they create this whole new fruity essence. The Green Leaves and Floral Bouquet in the heart mellow the intensity of the fruitiness, and add a very soft floral essence to the scent. The Vetiver intensifies the Green quality of the scent, and Cedar adds a gentle, crisp, woodiness that also adds to the tart essence. It captures an essence like Amazonians gathering fruit in the jungle…perhaps the very inspiration from Sergio Momo. In the end, it dries down like a tropical, fruity, Mango, Musky scent with a little bit of density. It kind of has an aroma like a fruit pie/tart/cobbler/fritter/streudel, but also kind of like a pie-flavored sorbet. It’s a warm Gourmand scent that is mouth-watering and comforting at the same time. It has Summer meets Fall vibes. It is safe enough for the office and can be dressed up for formal occasions, but has a more casual vibe to it. Inspiration
Cruz del Sur II takes inspiration from Xerjoff founder Sergio Momo’s travels through the Amazon rainforest and the adventures that took him through the South American wilderness.
Notes:
This scent opens with a fruity blast of Mango and Pineapple, with an almost airy quality from the Apple Blossom and Floral Bouquet. The Green Leaves, Cedarwood and Vetiver bring a tart, Green quality that adds a warmth to the scent. Musk finishes this scent with a wispy quality and enhances the warmth of the scent.Â
