Spirit is a warm, sweet, earthy scent created for Men and Women in 2024 by perfumer Michael Foerster.
Review
This scent opens up very fresh and citrusy with Tangerine and Blood Orange, and is kind of reminiscent of linens or citrusy dryer sheets. Things stay zesty as the laundry-like qualities fade away into a blend of flowers and Sandalwood. A faint hint of Vanilla plays a supporting role that keeps things mellow, and lends a gentle sweetness to the dry down. As everything blends together, a faint lactonic essence develops. An almost Musky quality develops, creating a sense of calm and relaxation. It is a slightly muted scent, but has a well-rounded quality that will make it last. The soothing essence of this scent makes it perfect for lazy days, running errands, or any casual setting you find yourself in. It has a similar essence to 724 from Maison Francis Kurkdjian with a more Vanillic tone, and is slightly similar to People Are People from Christian Siriano.
Inspiration
Spirit’s bottle is adorned with the Owl, a symbol of wisdom. It is a scent created for the thoughtful and introspective person, illuminating a path of self discovery.
Notes
This scent is immediately fresh and bright with a blend of Tangerine and Blood Orange, with a subtle pop of spice from Cardamom, Pink Peppercorn and Nutmeg. Things begin to mellow with the floral tones of Violet Leaf, Rose and Ylang Ylang. Patchouli brings an earthy quality before Vanilla comes around, bringing a gentle sweetness that is boosted by the creamy quality of the Ylang Ylang. Sandalwood furthers the earthy nuance of this scent, never becoming too intense as the sweet essence of the scent continues to flourish.
