Review
This scent feels like a modern, spicy, Barbershop leaning scent, but also feels like a sweet, dry, spicy scent. It almost feels like Honeyed Spices. It’s spicy, warm, and smooth with a hint of sweetness. It feels like you’re in a market in Egypt, the air is dry and you can smell the aromas of both savory and sweet spices around you. It feels exotic, but also reminiscent of classic colognes. Cardamom, Nutmeg, and Leather bring the sweet and spicy elements, while Lavender, Moss, and Patchouli bring a subtle earthiness. While this is a unisex fragrances, it has a slight masculine style to it. It will work well in Fall, Winter, and Spring, and can work well for any time, place, or occasion, and is safe to wear to the office. It has a subtlety to it, but will last for hours. It has been compared to Yves Saint Laurent Opium, and is reminiscent of Creed’s Royal Mayfair with a spice infusion.
Inspiration
Egypt takes inspiration from Albert Fouquet’s fascination with ancient Egyptian culture, and his inspiration to create a fragrance for himself after visiting a dear friend in Egypt.
Notes
This scent starts of both sweet and spicy with a blend of Cardamom, Nutmeg, and Leather. The Lavender and Moss bring a subtle earthiness and a smoothness. Patchouli and Sandalwood add a bit of depth that keeps the lighter notes lasting without adding too much intensity or woodiness.
