Rose Perfume, formerly known as Beatrix, is a floral, Rose, sweet scent created for Women by perfumer Laurent Le Guernec.
Review
This scent smells like a real Rose garden. If you close your eyes, you can imagine that you’ve gone into an indoor garden filled with thousands of Roses. You lift your head slightly and take a deep, long breath and you inhale that sweet, almost spicy scent of the Rose. The fruits keep it fresh and slightly modern smelling so that it never feels too “old”, vintage or powdery. It is a timeless, beautiful, romantic scent that will work for any age from 10 to 90. It can be worn any time, place, occasion, or setting, and is a lovely addition to any Rose lover’s collection. It will work in any season, though its freshness makes it great for Spring and Summer. It will remain soft on the skin, but it will last your day or evening. It has been compared to Rose Jam by Lush. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Rose Perfume was formerly named Beatrix, and took inspiration from Beatrix Jones Farrand, an accomplished landscape architect who created the White House gardens and was the original designer of the Rose Garden at the New York Botanical Garden. The scent Beatrix captures the scent of the Living Heritage Rose found in the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden at the New York Botanical Garden.
Notes
The scent of the Rose lives within all layers of this scent with the Living Floral Heritage Rose. Bergamot adds a sparkling quality while Blackcurrant and Wild Fig add a mellow sweetness. Vetiver adds a gentle earthy touch in the base, and Musk adds a subtle wispy depth that never takes away from the lighter essences.
