Caterina is a fruity, floral, warm scent created for Women in 2020 by perfumer Antonio Visconti.
Review
This scent is full bodied and exotic. It has a rich fruity, floral essence that soon becomes warmed with a blend of woods, and sweetened with Vanilla. It is rich and seductive and playful. It might be just a bit too rich for the office, but will work fantastic for any casual occasions, evening events, date night, or a chilly day out on an adventure. It may be too much for the hot Summer months, but will work well in Fall, Winter, and Springtime. It is comparable to X Feminine from Clive Christian.
Inspiration
Inspired by Catherine the Great, Caterina charms the senses and tempts you to push the boundaries of your olfactive desires.
Notes
The warmth of the base creeps up within the layers and can be felt within the fruity melange of Bergamot, Apricot, Cassis, Star Anise, Elderberry, and Rhubarb. These fruity nuances brighten a floral bouquet of White Flowers, Jasmine Absolute, Damask Rose Absolute, Turkish Rose Absolute, Magnolia, and Florentine Iris Absolute, creating a creamy nuance. In the base, Patchouli adds a nice sharp warmth while blending with Sandalwood and Cedarwood, and White Musk adds a layer of wispy sensuality. A final note of Vanilla Absolute adds the perfect sweet nuance that helps to keep the fruits and flowers thriving above the woods.
