Isfarkand is a Citrus, Woody, Aromatic scent created for Men and Women in 2005 by perfumer Geza Schoen. It was re-released in 2024 as a Parfum.
Review
This scent starts off incredibly spicy. Pink Pepper blasts its way into your senses before mellowing into the brightness of Lime, Mandarin, and Bergamot. The Lime note lingers alongside speckles of the Pepper, and blends into the Vetiver note in the base, creating a succulent and warm, yet invigorating and bright scent. It was created as a genderless scent, but it leans slightly masculine in its style. It is as elegant as it is casual, and can be worn to the office as easily as it can be worn for formal functions or as your everyday scent. It has a lightness to it that becomes intimate on the skin, but it will last. It will work in any season, but its brightness makes it a great scent for the Spring and Summer. It has been compared to Terre d’Hermes from Hermes. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Isfarkand was created as a personal scent for Linda Pilkington’s husband. People were loving it so much that they decided to share it with the world, and it joined the Ormonde Jayne Signature collection.
Notes
Though Pink Pepper lives in the heart of this scent, it blasts its way to the top of the opening, making itself known. Very quickly, the citrus notes set in, with Lime lingering the longest as Vetiver and Cedar begin to open from the base. A final note of Moss gives this scent a gentle earthiness, but the citrus notes thrive throughout, making it bright and energetic.
