Lucius is an aromatic, citrus, woody scent created for Men in 2024.
Review
This scent is fresh and aromatic with a warmth to it. The Citruses and Orange Flower add a brightness to an earthy blend of Cedarwood, Vetiver, and Amber. It smells like someone who has been outdoors chopping wood all afternoon and then came in to clean up and used a wood based body wash. Even so, it is not too woody of a scent. There is a wispy quality to it, a sense of casual elegance and refinement. While it was created for Men, does have a very appealing Masculine vibe to it, it can easily be worn by anyone who loves a good clean, woody, Vetiver scent. It does have a certain lightness to it, but it will last for hours on the skin. This is the perfect scent to wear anytime you’re looking to make an impression, from the office, to that big meeting, to drinks with friends, to date night. It has been compared to Dior Sauvage Elixir and Clive Christian “Town & Country mixed with…..”. It also has a faint resemblance to Amouage Memoir Man, but more aromatic.
Inspiration
Lucius takes inspiration from the many Roman rulers who were given the name. It evokes power, strength, and confidence.
Notes
This scent opens with a citrusy, aromatic vibe from Bergamot, Mandarin, and sparkly Pink Pepper, though it is not zesty and fresh like a traditional citrus scent. Very quickly the Cedarwood sets in, being tempered by these citruses, and remaining bright. Orange Flower adds a very subtle essence of itself, adding to the aromatic quality of the fragrance and blending perfectly with the citrus notes. This essence takes on a hint of a sweeter vibe as Tonka joins in, bringing its subtle warmth to the mix. Vetiver joins in, in the base, pairing with the Cedarwood to create an elegant, earthy essence. Dry Amber finishes this scent, adding more warmth and depth, without too much extra sweetness. The scent maintains a slightly zesty, airy, aromatic and earthy quality that is pleasing to the senses.
