Zenne is a fruity, floral, musky scent created for Men and Women in 2017 by perfumer Jorge Lee.
Review
This scent is sweet and sultry. Though unisex, it leans feminine with the Rose and Gardenia standing out prominently. Rhubarb is another big player, adding a bright touch before the decadence of the base sets in. This scent can be worn to the office, especially when you want to make an impression, but is best suited for carefree adventures and flirtatious evenings. It is perfect for any time you want to feel confident, playful, and be noticed. It slowly becomes an intimate scent, but will last, and will work for any season. It is comparable to Jean Paul Gaultier’s La Belle.
Inspiration
Zenne is inspired by a character of the same name from a popular Turkish shadow puppet show. Zenne is said to be of questionable morals, and not afraid to stand up for herself. This scent pays tribute to that mindset, reminding one to live with joy, confidence, and flirtation.
Notes
Bright Grapefruit and sweet Blackcurrant blend with the tart, slightly green, quality of Rhubarb, giving this scent an energetic start. A floral heart of Turkish Rose and Gardenia can already seduce the senses on their own, but are lifted further with a note of creamy Sandalwood. In the base, Ambergris plays well off of the Sandalwood, adding a delicate balance of depth, warmth, and longevity. Vanilla adds a touch of sweetness that works well with both the flowers in the heart and the fruits in the top. Musk comes in at the end, adding a delicate sultriness that puts the perfect finishing touch on this intoxicating scent.
