Review

This scent opens with a blast of spice that comes from Cardamom, Paradise Seeds(peppery), and Mace(spice). Fairly quickly, a blend of citrus notes adds a brightness that softens the sharpness. A hint of Leather lives within notes of Violet Leaves and Amyris Wood, keeping the warm, while Benzoin adds gentle hints of sweetness. After the initial intensity, this scent becomes something that dances the line between professional and casual. It can be worn to the office as easily as it can be worn for drinks with friends, an afternoon date, or just running errands. It is versatile and can be worn in all seasons and any time of day. Inspiration

Lalique Pour Homme Equus is partially inspired by bonnet and radiator ornaments Rene Lalique created in the 1930’s. It pays homage to passion, strength, and creativity of youth.

Notes

Cardamom, Peppery Paradise Seeds, and spicy Mace open this scent with a spicy blast to the senses. Bergamot and Lemon Zest follow close behind, adding an invigorating citrus essence and tempering the spices. Juniper Berries thrive under an earthy layer of Violet Leaves, Amyris Wood, and Sequoia Wood, adding a gentle zest to the heart of this scent. Leather keeps the spice notes alive, without overpowering the senses, and Benzoin adds a touch of sweetness as everything dries down. Musk and Vetiver add gentle touches that help with longevity.
