Inspirations tell the stories behind the fragrances, and they are always fascinating.

Cabiria from Tiziana Terenzi was inspired by the character named Cabiria from the Italian film, ‘Nights of Cabiria’. In the film, Cabiria is a woman who suffers tremendous heartbreak, betrayal and even a brush with death, but remains stubbornly optimistic that she will eventually find her happy ending. The fragrance is a soft and bright fruity floral scent that feels elegant and playful with a gentle uplifting energy. 

Silver Mountain Water from Creed was inspired by Olivier Creed’s love of skiing and his time spent in the Swiss Alps. A combination of citruses, Green Tea and Musk perfectly mimic the aroma of crisp, clean air at the top of a snowy mountain. .

Infanta En Flor from Arquiste was inspired by Maria Teresa, the Infanta of Spain. It paints an image of the Infanta’s first encounter with King Louis XIV, as she was betrothed to him to bring peace between their nations. It imagines the king momentarily captivated by her Orange Blossom scent as she sneaks a peak at him from behind her fan. The scent feels delicate with a powdery, yet airy aroma, with Bergamot, Orange Flowers and Moroccan Rose, with hints of Spanish Leather, Resins and Musk that add depth, that changes the scent from an air of innocence to a hint of playful sensuality.

Aurelia from Giardino Benessere is named after the Aurelian Way, or Via Aurelia. This was a road that connected Rome to the port cities along the Italian coast. It was mostly used by the Roman army, but ultimately expanded trade throughout the Mediterranean. The fragrance puts a focus on the earthy qualities of the vegetation found along the road, blending spices and citruses with sweet touches of Coumarin and Vanilla Bean. 

Vespers Attar from Parfumerie Nasreen takes inspiration from the Latin term ‘Vespers’, meaning ‘Evening Prayer’. It has a rich blend of Sandalwood, Agarwood, Vetiver, Ginger, Cinnamon, Patchouli, Flowers, Vanilla and Tonka Bean all combining into a spicy, earthy, smoky scent that calms the senses in the way that burning Incense can. It has a subtle churchy Incense vibe.
