Fragrance Spotlight: Marilyn Miglin Pheromone

Fragrance Spotlight: Marilyn Miglin Pheromone

Fragrance Spotlight: Marilyn Miglin Pheromone

Pheromone was created in 1978 and has been described as a Chypre Floral. To me, it is more of a balmy, Musky, floral.

It gained notoriety through Marilyn Miglin’s many appearances on the Home Shopping Network.

I remember reading Marilyn Miglin’s autobiography, and she talked about taking a trip to Egypt and had the opportunity to inside some of the tombs in the pyramids, and she came upon some vials that were used for fragrances or oils. She was mystified, as they seemed to still have the aroma of the original scents. After returning home, she couldn’t stop thinking about them and started working to create a fragrance that smelled like the scents she’d smelled in Egypt. Apparently, she started working to translate Egyptian Hieroglyphics to identify the traditional oils used in ancient Egypt for fragrance.

When you smell the fragrance, you can tell where her inspiration was leading her. You can almost imagine an Egyptian Queen smelling like this.

It’s a warm and elegant scent that feels sensual and mature. It’s Green, Earthy and Floral with a carnal essence.

Italian Bergamot brightens a blend of Orange Blossom and Jasmine. Cassie Absolute, Leafy Greens and Oakmoss add an earthy green quality that is deepened and warmed with Sandalwood. A hint of Vanilla in the base takes the edge off any sharpness and helps the overall smoothness of the scent without making things sweet.

It’s your sexy, date night scent. The scent you wear when you want to get noticed.

While there aren’t any actual pheromones in the fragrance, it does evoke a very seductive energy.

Nearly 50 years later, this iconic scent is still available and is just as magical.

You can usually find the Eau de Parfum spray, the pure Parfum and many of the body care items at Parfumerie Nasreen!
