The holidays have some familiar aromas. Cinnamon, Pine, Hot Chocolate, Cookies….etc.
Fragrances with hints of these aromas can conjure memories of holidays past, bringing a sense of comfort to your mind.
With the holidays in full swing, we’re going to share some of our favorite fragrances that smell like the holidays.
Oajan from Parfums de Marly - The Cinnamon stands out brightly as an opening note in this scent, and lingers through to the end. Paired with the sweetness of Honey and Vanilla notes, it has the quintessential aroma of the Christmas season.
Sissa from Mind Games - Sesame lends a “toasted” vibe to the blend of Milk, Roasted Tonka Bean and Vanilla notes, while Amber and Leathery Labdanum add a rich warmth. This intoxicating mixture creates an aroma similar to a creamy Hot Chocolate with steamed Milk.
Layton from Parfums de Marly - An Apple note shines bright when paired with fresh Bergamot, and given a spiced essence with Cardamom, Pepper and Guaiac Wood, giving vibes similar to a spiced Apple Cider.
Memoir Man from Amouage - This scent is rich and woody. A blend of Wormwood, Oakmoss and Leather add a rich earthy quality while Absinthe, Mint and Lavender add a fresh and bright quality. It makes you feel as if you’re in a Pine Tree forest, picking the tree you’ll chop down for your Christmas Tree.
K’Abel from Royal Crown - This scent is sweet and spicy. A blend of Cardamom, Nutmeg, Saffron and Honey creates a spice infusion that is brightened with touches of Rose, Dates and Vanilla, and then deepened with a layer of woods. It has a subtle sharpness to it that is reminiscent of Cinnamon sticks or a spiced Tea.
Lira from Casamorati and Almond from Caswell-Massey play similar roles in creating that aroma of baking cookies and sweet treats during the holidays. Almond blends Almond Flower with Cherry, a Salty Accord and Vanilla-like Tonka Bean to create a scent very much like Almond Extract. Lira blends Vanilla, Caramel, Cinnamon and Licorice Blossom with the brightness of Bergamot and Blood Orange, and the warmth of Musks to create a scent that is like a sweet and decadent cake.
Although Christmas usually comes to mind when you think of a scent that smells like the holidays, but it can be infusions of every aspect of the holiday season.
We’d love to hear what fragrances remind you of the holiday season.
