We’ve talked about Rose fragrances in a previous blog, but it’s been quite a while and we’ve brought in some new Rose based scents.
We’ll go from freshest to richest:)
Finity AF from 86 West - This scent is super fresh and clean and perfect for everyday. It blends Tunisian Rose and Jasmine with the brightness of Bergamot and the crisp, clean woody essence of Cedarwood.
Ooh La Rose from Christian Siriano - This one is bright and sweet, a little more fruity than floral, but fun. Rose and Jasmine are infused with Pear, Strawberry and Pomegranate, and the depth of Patchouli and Musk. It’s bright and sweet and zingy and flirty.
Levant from Ormonde Jayne - This scent is soft and fresh with a blend of Citruses, Rose Petals, Peony, Jasmine and bright Cedarwood. It’s elegantly casual.
Louis XV 1722 Rose from Xerjoff - This scent blends Rose with Raspberry, Cedarwood, Pear, Geranium, Vanilla, Musk, Sandalwood(Amyris). It opens with a vibe almost like a glass of Rose Champagne, then transitions into the woody element, slowly developing a Rose and Sandalwood blend. It has a vibe as if you’re enjoying a glass of Champagne while sitting in a Rose covered Gazebo.
Siberian Rose from Fragrance du Bois - This one is more of a lactonic floral scent in which Rose is infused within a blend of Pear, Tuberose and Ylang Ylang, and then the depth of Spices, Moss and Leather. It’s sweet and creamy with both a fun and casual vibe and a sophisticated elegance.
Nil Imperial from Imperial Parfums - This is a sugary Rose scent. Turkish Rose Absolute is blended with the brightness of Italian Lemon Oil, Sugar in the heart and base of the scent, an Intense Vanilla note and White Musk. While it’s not too sweet, it does have a vibe like candied Rose Petals or Sugar covered Rose Petals.
Adam from Imperial Parfums - This one is a ROSE scent. It starts off light and airy with a hint of spice from Turkish Rose, Citruses and a Wood Accord, and then blooms brighter and sweeter with Jasmine and Vanilla. Amber and Musk add depth and warmth to the finish of the scent, making it feel almost regal. It does have a slight resemblance to a more universal version of Parfums de Marly Delina at time.
Sans Voir from Mind Games - This scent has an aromatic smoky woody scent that blends Rose with Grapefruit, Freesia, a Sea Salt Accord, Incense and Palo Santo Wood. It’s zesty, smoky and bright.
New York 5th Avenue from Fragrance du Bois - This scent is a sophisticated earthy Rose scent. Rose and Violet create an almost powdery scent, followed closely by the grassy smoky essence of Cypriol. Cashmere Wood and Guaiac Wood add depth and warmth without making it feel too woody. Overall it feels mature without feeling ‘old’. It feels like a formal Rose fragrance.
Tabac Rose from BDK Parfums - This one is an interesting Rose scent that is, essentially, a Rose and Tobacco blend. Lemon and Pink Peppercorn opens the scent with a bright start, then Plum and a Dark Chocolate Accord adds a dark sweetness. Then Turkish Rose blends with Tobacco, Patchouli and Labdanum to create a spicy and rich depth. It kind of has a bougie, exotic smell, like the aroma of the rich aunt who almost never makes it to the family functions, but it’s always a production when she does……but in a good way.
Oudh Imperial from Imperial Parfums - This scent is a casually elegant, easy-to-wear, Rose and Oud scent. It blends Bulgarian Rose with a Hot Sand Accord and Agarwood, the wood used to make Oud, therefore a less intense form of Oud. Touches of Sandalwood and Amber come in at the base, adding a velvety and warm finish to the scent.
Thorny 6 from Anood - This one is rich, smoky and intense. Inspired by the Arabic tradition of Ta’Teer or Tabkheer(perfuming with smoke), a ritual where brides are wafted with a type of Incense called Bakhoor. The scent blends Rose with Frankincense and Oud to create a scent with lots of intensity and richness.
There are many, many Rose fragrances, even quite a few that we have not mentioned, but we think these are the ones that are worthy of a closer look.
