Attars - also known as Ittars - are pure oil fragrances, made without alcohols or synthetic ingredients.
Attars are the traditional style of fragrance that has been made for thousands of years, by ancient peoples, and are still a popular style of fragrance in the Eastern world.
The Parfumerie Nasreen owners worked with a family of local oil producers near Hyderabad India to create a selection of fragrances that were a combination of a feel of the East without being too much for the Western world to enjoy.
They also worked with a local indie perfumer, named Sundar Rayhan, to compose a few of the Attars. He has familiarized and immersed himself into the Indian culture, and has a passion for fragrances and oils. Sundar created Black Monsoon Attar and Vespers Attar.
Attar fragrances usually come in much more ornate bottles than atomizer fragrances, and we kept in line with that style. Each of the Parfumerie Nasreen Attars comes in beautiful crystal bottles that you will want to display in your collection.
Amares Attar - A Woody Floral fragrance made with Rose, Sandalwood and Oud. Though it has Oud in it, it has a nice mellow vibe. ‘Amares’ is derived from the word ‘Love’, and is a gentle, intimate and romantic scent.
Dulcis Attar - A sweet and Woody scent with a seductive twist, blending Musk, Sandalwood and Oud. The Indian Sandalwood used in this scent is a little bit more creamy than you might expect, and gives a gentle sweet essence to the scent.
Flores Attar - A sweet and warm Floral fragrance made with Sandalwood and the Kewda Flower, which is an Asian flower with a water-like essence that has a similar aroma to Rose.
Khloris Attar - A warm and sensual floral fragrance named after the Greek Goddess of flowers. The scent is made with Rose, Jasmine, Lily, Champaca and Lavender.
Black Monsoon Attar - It is a scent inspired by the Monsoon season in India. It really captures that aroma of damp, lush earth with a blend of Black Spruce, Black Musk, Myrrh and Vanilla Absolute.
Vespers Attar - Its name comes from the Latin phrase for ‘Evening Prayer’. It’s earthy, floral and spicy, and captures a gentle essence of churchy Incense with notes of Vetiver Bourbon, Patchouli, Jasmine, Rose and Agarwood.
Later additions to the Parfumerie Nasreen Attar collection include aromas made in much more familiar styles, similar to what you might find in today’s popular selections. These scents are available in a glass roll-on style.
Oud Attar - A Woody and aromatic scent made with Afghani Oud and Saffron. This is an Oud scent that is mellow enough that anyone who is just beginning to experiment with Oud will be able to handle.
Fougere Attar - A fresh and zesty scent made with a blend of citruses, spices and woods. This blend is reminiscent of a zesty, clean, lighty earthy essence of the outdoors, and has a style that is somewhat like a traditional men's cologne.
Floral Attar - A warm and Ambery scent made with White Floral Buds, Aster and Amber. It is like a bright, blooming floral bouquet on the skin.
Fruity Floral Attar - A bright, sweet and juicy scent made with a blend of Pineapple, Melon, Jasmine and Amber.
