Val's Favorite Fragrances

I’ve worked at Parfumerie Nasreen for over 12 years. I’ve learned so much about fragrance since I’ve been here, and have developed an honest appreciation for fragrances that I don’t enjoy for myself.

People often ask me what my favorite fragrances are. It can change with the season, or over time in general, but I have a few go-to’s that have consistently stayed on my ‘favorites’ list.

I don’t even remember what it smells like now, but my favorite fragrance before Parfumerie Nasreen was Candies. Reading about it now, it seems to still fit my current style, which is fresh and floral with a fruity essence. I love fresh scents with Roses and Fruits the most, but do delve into other aromas.

There are a few that I like that we do not sell at Parfumerie Nasreen, but in this blog I will be talking about the scents that we DO carry.

Delina La Rosee from Parfums de Marly is my number one scent. I’ll wear it all year round, but especially when the weather is warmer. It’s so fresh and sparkly with hints of flowers and fruits. It makes me feel happy and I hope it never goes anywhere.

Pas Ce Soir EDP from BDK Parfums is about the warmest that my palette goes. It has a slight sweetness to it within a blend of flowers, Cashmeran, and Amberwood. It feels cozy and a little bit sensual. It’s kind of like wrapping myself in a big, soft, warm, blanket. I usually start wearing this one as the weather gets colder.

Moon Glory from The Harmonist is absolutely intoxicating. I’m not a Jasmine girl, but this one just does something to me. It’s floral, it feels a little exotic, and the woods aren’t too woody, but add to that warmer, sultry vibe.

Amethyst from Lalique is super fresh and fruity. It’s clean, but sweet and invigorating. I choose this fragrance when the weather is nicer, but also any time I feel like I want a boost of energy, no matter the weather.

Silhouette from Christian Siriano is sweet and Musky. It’s a little fruity, a little floral, and the Moss and wood notes add the perfect amount of warmth that’s not too woody or Musky, or intense.

Meliora from Parfums de Marly is one of my first loves from Parfumerie Nasreen. It was released the year after I started working at the shop, and the first fragrance I couldn’t get enough of. It’s kind of citrusy, kind of floral, and has a hint of a Musky quality as it dries down. It’s like Champagne in the way that it’s mellow and warm, but also sparkly and bright.

Special mentions go to Laliqlue Soleil, Lalique Reve d’Infini, Michel Germain Orange Blossom Garden & French Vanilla, and Ormonde Jayne Osmanthus. I love these fragrances as well, but they’re not the first ones I think to reach for.

You can find all of these fragrances and try them for yourself at Parfumerie Nasreen!

I’m always happy to connect with you and help you find your personal selection of fragrances that touch your heart in all the right ways.
