This scent has a powdery, vintage vibe to it. It conjures an image of powdered wigs, painted faces, lace and fine velvet, and an orchestra playing somewhere nearby while people dance and talk and drink. It dries down with an Ambery finish that is sophisticated, elegant, and mature. This scent has a potency to it and should be worn with care. It can be worn in an office setting, if applied lightly, and will work well for formal settings, elegant dinners, and any time you want to feel regal. It will work well in most seasons and will last. It has been compared to Ciara from Revlon and vintage Shalimar from Guerlain.
Inspiration
Bal A Versailles was inspired by the Chateau de Versailles in Versaille, Paris, where opulent balls and sophisticated court sessions were held in the 17th century.
Notes
This scent is immediately powdery, spicy and floral. A floral blend of Rose and Bulgarian Rose, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Neroli, Orris Root, Ylang Ylang, Lilac and Lily of the Valley are made more potent with Rosemary, Leather, and Patchouli. Hints of Mandarin, Lemon, Bergamot and Cassia add a gentle fresh undertone. A rich blend of Civet, Resins and Tolu Balsam boost the Amber as this scent begins to dry down. Benzoin and Vanilla adda touch of sweetness, adding to the powdery essence, while Musk and Cedar add a sultry earthiness.
