Review
This scent is immediately fresh and bright. A note of Pineapple is soft, but stands out amongst a blend of citrus and flowers with Rose de Mai at its heart. Cedarwood and Patchouli add an earthy vibe that keeps this scent lasting. It is a scent that can be worn to the office, but is best suited for carefree afternoons in the sunshine. Inspiration
1872 Feminine takes its name from the year that Queen Victoria gave her approval for the use of her crown’s image in the creation of The Crown Perfumery bottles.
Notes
It is said that the oil of 100 Bergamot Oranges is contained within each bottle of 1872 Feminine. That intense brightness can be felt like sunshine on the skin throughout this composition. Within that citrus, Pineapple is lifted high, followed closely by a soft note of Blueberry. The oil of 170 Rose de Mai petals is blended with a lush floral bouquet of Osmanthus, Jasmine, Violet, Freesia, Orchid, and Lily of the Valley, adding a delicate feminine tone to the brightness. In the base, a blend of Cedarwood and Oakmoss add a subtle earthy quality, as a note of Musk boosts the lightness of the flowers. The warmth of Patchouli and Sandalwood add depth and longevity without becoming too heavy.
