Review
This scent is light and refreshing with a blend of citruses and herbs. Though the true formulation is a guarded secret, you can catch wisps of Neroli, Bergamot, and Lemon infused with the gentle warmth of Rosemary and Lavender. This gentle blend is invigorating and soothing, and is a great choice for hot weather days when you want just a spritz of something. It can be worn any time, place, or occasion, and in any weather. As it is an Eau de Cologne, it doesn’t have incredible longevity, which will work well for spritzing on something a little warmer for evening activities. Inspiration
4711 was originally created as a ‘Miracle Water’ as a wedding gift for Wilhelm Mulhens who later mass produced it, naming it after the first location where he opened his shop at Glockengasse No. 4711. Originally used both externally and internally, it was labeled as a fragrance in the 1800’s, when Napoleon decreed the disclosure of all formulas designed for internal use, to keep the recipe a secret. Changing hands throughout the decades, 4711 has stood the test of time, and is regarded as one of the oldest fragrances still in production since its inception.
Notes
