Champaca is a warm, floral, Musky scent created for Men and Women in 2002 by perfumer Geza Schoen.
Review
This scent begins as a fresh, warm, floral scent. As it begins to mellow, the green qualities of the Bamboo blend with the almost bitter quality of the Tea, and the strange smoothness of Basmati Rice. It slowly becomes warm and slightly musky with a delicate Tea essence. It maintains an elegant lightness and a gentle depth. It’s not Tea-in-your-face like some Tea scents can be. It is a scent that can be worn any time, place or occasion, but brings a calmness that makes it work especially well for casual settings. Though it slowly becomes intimate and close to the skin, it will last. It has subtle similarities to Colognise from Nishane.
Inspiration
Champaca is inspired by trips to India, where magical sights, sounds, and aromas create magical memories, and is home to the Champaca Flower.
Notes
Neroli and Pink Pepper brighten a floral heart of Champaca Absolute and Freesia Absolute, creating a gentle airy quality. Fairly quickly, Bamboo and Basmati Rice Notes add a warm smoothness that blends well with the Green Tea. The Green Tea is lifted with touches of Myrrh and Musk, deepening this scent a little further, creating an earthy freshness.
