Fougere Royale is an aromatic, woody, fougere scent created for men in 2010 by perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux.
Review
This scent is the epitome of the Fougere family. A splash of citrus brightens a classic blend of Lavender, herbs, spices, Oakmoss, Sage, and Tonka Bean. It maintains a classic feel while being easy to wear in today’s world. It is perfectly suitable for the office, and works easily for any formal or casual occasion, and all seasons. It is comparable to Amouage’s Bracken Man. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Fougere Royale is a modern reimagining of Paul Parquet’s original 1882 composition. It maintains its refined and elegant prestige that once took the world by storm, while boasting a bright and fresh appeal for today’s gentleman.
Notes
Fresh Bergamot brightens an earthy blend of Mediterranean Herbs, Lavender and Chamomile. A touch of Cinnamon perfectly segues the earthy tones into a floral heart of Rondeletia(Panama Rose), Geranium, Rose de Mai, and Clavel(Carnation). The sweet essences of Tonka Bean and Vanilla-like Coumarin keeps the heart thriving, while Clary Sage and Oakmoss lift the earthy top notes. Warm Amber and Patchouli add depth and longevity to this luminous composition.
