French Pear & Queen’s Lilac is a fresh, sweet, floral scent created for Men and Women by perfumer Michel Germain for the Michel Parfum collection.
Review
This scent is light and delicate. Pear and Black Currant add a gentle juicy quality that gives the Lilac and Rose essences a dewy boost. Geranium and Amber add a subtle warmth that gives this scent a touch of maturity within the brightness. This scent is like Spring in full bloom on the skin. While it is a unisex scent, it leans feminine overall. It can be worn to the office, and will work well for any casual or formal occasion as easily as it will work for sunny days driving around, stopping at farmers markets, or to feel fresh and light while doing nothing. It will work well in all seasons, and will last. It is comparable to Caswell-Massey’s Lilac with more depth, and Amouage’s Lilac Love with a less cream, more fresh, nuance. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
The Michel Parfum collection takes inspiration from the grandeur and nobility of the royal courts, creating scents that are elegant, sophisticated, and timeless with a touch of sensuality.
Notes
Pear opens this scent in a wispy way. It almost reminds you of opening a can of Pears, bringing a childlike vibe to the front of your mind. Lilac and Rose come in next, bringing a light and delicate floral essence to the composition. Black Currant adds its berry-like quality, blending with the Pear to create a sweet and juicy nuance that never becomes overbearing. Geranium adds a touch of warmth to the floral thread, blending well with the Amber that comes up from the base, giving the scent a gentle velvety touch. Musk rounds out this scent with gentle hints of depth and elegance.
