Green Irish Tweed is an aromatic, green, citrus scent created for Men in 1985 by perfumer Pierre Bourdon.
Review
This scent is immediately bright and earthy and masculine. Lemon and Verbena, an already naturally lemony smelling plant, stand out vibrantly against more subtle earthy notes of Violet Leaves and Amber. It evokes an essence of sunshine, adventure, and energy. It can be worn in the workplace if applied sparingly, but is best suited for all other activities, occasions, or events. It can easily be dressed up for formal occasions. It is suitable in all seasons, and will last with great projection. It is comparable to Bond No.9 Chez Bond and Royal Crown Rain
Inspiration
A classic Fougere, Green Irish Tweed was inspired by aromatic strolls through the Irish countryside.
Notes
Lemon and Lemony Verbena kickstart this scent and thrive throughout each layer. A hint of Peppermint in the top, and the Violet Leaves in the heart, soften any sharpness as the base brings in its warmth. Ambergris creates a subtle smoothness and Sandalwood adds more of an earthy quality while helping with longevity. Florentine Iris brings up the end of this scent, adding to the airy smoothness of the dry down.
