Guidance is a woody, fruity, Amber scent created for Men and Women in 2023 for Amouage’s Escape Collection by perfumer Quentin Bisch.

Review

This scent borders on the Gourmand line with its blend of Pear and Hazelnut. Soon after, though, a blend of flowers is bathed in the warmth of woods. While this scent is unisex, it leans feminine with its sweetness, and feels like a pink cloud floating above an enchanted world. It is a scent that can be worn to the office if applied lightly, but is much better suited for any other time, place, or occasion. It can easily be dressed up or down, and will last you all day or evening. It is comparable to the Parfums de Marly feminine fragrances, and has been compared to a blend of Delina and Cassili.

Inspiration

Guidance is a spellbinding scent that plays out like a poem or a fairytale. Like an enchanted princess guiding you through a marvelous adventure, it is like a dream that you hope never to wake from.

Notes

Pear and Hazelnut make their presence known and linger nicely with the help of Frankincense at the beginning of this scent. A floral heart is made up of Rose, Jasmine Sambac, and Osmanthus that release their natural spicy essences with an added note of Saffron. A woody nuance of Sandalwood and Akigalawood becomes velvety with a blend of Ambergris and Vanilla. A final touch of Cistus adds a faint leathery essence that adds depth and longevity to this sweet scent.
