Interlude Black Iris is a smoky, floral, woody scent created for Men in 2020 by perfumer Pierre Negrin.
Review
This is perfect for those who love the original Interlude Man, but find it just a little too intense. Orris, Violet Leaves and Vanilla help to create a smoother scent, making it much more suitable to wear in any setting, formal or casual. It is safe for the office if sprayed lightly, and works well for Spring, Fall, and Winter season. It has been compared to Swiss Arabian’s Shaghaf Oud Abyad. Inspiration
A more smooth and refined version of its original creation, Interlude Black Iris is a complex and stoic scent, yet serene. A vibrant power lies just under the surface. The chaos is subdued for the moment.
Notes
Bright Bergamot blends with the spicy sweet essences of Rosemary and Violet Leaves, lifting an Orris note above the warmth of the heart. In said heart, Amber blends with the smoky nuances of Frankincense, Myrrh and Cistus, which are all smoothed with a note of Vanilla. Leather and Agarwood Smoke keeps the smoky nuance of the heart alive as a woody blend of Patchouli, Sandalwood and Cedarwood sets in and adds a subtle depth.
