Jasmin de Pays is a Floral, Musky, Jasmine scent created for Men and Women in 2019 by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena.
Review
This is not your familiar Jasmine scent, but for those Jasmine lovers of the raw quality. Paired with the herbally, Green, essence of Tagete(Marigold), and the smoky depth of Clove, Jasmine Absolute releases its Indolic tones, giving the aroma of real, fresh, Jasmine. It gives that slightly dank, slightly musty, slightly animalic, floral essence that is not for everyone. It conjures images of walking next to the fresh floral bouquets in a local farmer’s market and feeling almost drunk from all the floral essences in the air. That familiar Jasmine scent you think of in Jasmine perfumes lies just under the surface, but this is a close-to-the-skin, intoxicating Jasmine scent. It might be just a bit much for an office setting, but can work if given time to dry down before entering the office space. It is much better suited for times when you want to feel seductive, alluring, and/or capture the attention of those around you, and is perfect for date night or a night out with friends. While Jasmin tends to have a more feminine vibe to it, this is a scent that was created for anyone to wear, and anyone truly can. It has been compared to A La Nuit from Serge Lutens and Jasmin Antique from Rogue Perfumery.

Inspiration
Jasmin de Pays was inspired by childhood memories of Jean-Claude helping with the Jasmine harvests, realizing that those times of being in nature and inspired by the aromas of the raw materials, became the first steps in his vocation as a perfumer.
Notes
Jasmin Asolute is paired with the herbally, green, tones of Tagete(Marigold) to create a beautifully potent floral blast. Clove follows closely, releasing the indolic quality of the Jasmine. Musk comes in at the end, bringing a subtle, sultry, warm essence to the finish. In the end, the animalistic quality of the scent tones down, but never quite goes away.
