Review
This scent opens with a warm and smoky essence, with a very subtle hint of the Blackberry note. All of the woods and resins create a rich intensity that feels incredibly opulent. There is almost a ‘dank’ and ‘dirty’ quality, but things start to slowly, slowly, develop an Ambery warmth. Even though things begin to tone down, this scent remains powerful. It feels like the scent a Billionaire CEO would wear while attending meetings in his bespoke suit, diamond encrusted watch and designer shades. Over time ends up drying down to a more resinous and earthy version of its original counterpart, Jubilation XXV Man. It becomes more of a mellow Amber scent, but maintains a richness. It can be worn to the office if given time to dry down, and will work well in the Fall and Winter months. Notes
This scent opens with a blast of the resins. The Blackberry note is noticeable, but very gentle, and adds a hint of a sparkle to the blend of Labdanum, Patchouli, Cistus, Opoponax, Myrrha, Cedarwood, Guaiac Wood and Oud. Over time, the intensity lessens, but notes of Rosemary, Bay St. Thomas, Celery Seed, Musk and Moss keep an earthy balance to the richness of the scent. In the end, Ambergris smooths out the composition, likely helped along by the Blackcurrant, Orange and Davana in the top. Overall, this is a rich, opulent, intense scent with a warm Amber drydown.
